E-Wallet Security Tips

Follow these Cybersecurity Tips for Safe Online Banking:

  • Ensure firewalls, virus scanning software and endpoint security are all in place and updated regularly
  • Keep your devices secure when banking on the go:
    • Do not store your profile details or credentials (username and password) on your mobile device.
    • Do not use an "open" or "public" Wi-Fi connection. Only use Wi-Fi connections that are passwordprotected with a WPA2 standard as a minimum.
    • It is recommended to use the cell phone network instead of Wi-Fi for sensitive operations such as whenconnecting to any of the Cairo Amman Bank and LINC platforms (either webor mobile applications).
    • When traveling, always use a trusted device (computer or mobile).
    • Ensure your device is updatedwith the latest manufacturer software updates and avoid using a "jailbroken" or "rooted" device with any unauthorized modification.
    • Avoid sharing yourmobile/computer device with others. Enable the Password/PIN and auto lockfeatures on your devices to prevent other people from using it if stolen.
    • Never leave your laptop,mobile device, or computer unattended once you have signed on to any ofCairo Amman Bank or LINC banking platforms.
    • When finished from using anyof Cairo Amman Bank or LINC platforms, always make sure you log off, clear the cache and close the browser.
  • Protect your personal information and security device:
    • Do not share your username andpassword for Cairo Amman Bank and LINC Online/Mobile/Web or any otherbanking platforms with anyone. Sharing your username and password putsyou at risk and you are solely responsible for any activity completedunder your user profile.
  • Best practices:
    • Cairo Amman Bank, LINC and anyof its subsidiaries will not display your account information inemails and will not ask you to provide any personal informationrelating your account credentials (username and password) either byemail, SMS or phone call.
