Cairo Amman Bank is the first in the Middle East to translate the signs of persons with hearing disability to audible language

Amman – Once again Cairo Amman Bank was unique in services provided to its customers especially persons with different disabilities.

This time, Cairo Amman Bank is unique through its provision of simultaneous translation of sign language which persons with hearing disability use to lingual talk when conducting their banking transactions of various kinds.

This service is the first of its kind in Jordan and the Middle East provided through video calls to facilitate the communication process between the customers of this category and Cairo Amman Bank staff members. 

And to provide this service, Cairo Amman Bank signed an agreement with SignCom that is interested in providing services to persons with hearing disability through Video Conference Call which is translated from sign language to lingual talk. 

SignCom is the first company in Jordan that is specialized in serving persons with hearing disability in most sectors, all banking and service ones.

Cairo Amman Bank provides this service under its policy to have the Central Bank strategies implemented, headed by the Financial Inclusion and also to implement its special strategic objectives such as providing leading banking services and products that enhance its role in serving the local community. 

The concept of the service is based on making Video Conference Call between the customer and sign language translator so that the translator conveys sign language to lingual talk.

To enable customers with hearing disability to benefit from offers and products of Cairo Amman Bank, five branches have been allocated to cover the population density and places of their presence in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. And the allocated branches are: (Wadi Saqra Branch, Amman Main Branch, Al Madina Al Munawara Branch, Hashemite Irbid Branch and Zarqa Branch in Baghdad Street). These branches will be provided with special tablet sets to provide this service.

Cairo Amman Bank is the first in the Middle East that provides its services to persons with hearing disability, and it was also the leading one to provide services to persons with visual disability by having special ATMs made available at their service, and that as part of its interest in serving the local community of all segments and sectors.
