Cairo Amman Bank signs memorandum of understanding with King Hussein Cancer Foundation

Amman, 27/4/2014 – King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Cairo Amman Bank signed today memorandum of understanding on the bank’s accession to the naming and honoring program which is related to the foundation through donation of 25,000 thousand Jordanian dinar (twenty  five thousand Jordanian Dinars), so as to name a waiting room in the expansion project for the new building belonging to King Hussein Cancer Center which the foundation seeks having it completed to host the increasing number of cancer patients from Jordan and the region.

And memorandum of understanding was signed by her Royal Highness Princess Dina Mired on behalf of the foundation as being the General Director of the foundation and by Mr. Yazeed Al-Mufti on behalf of the bank as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

And on this occasion, her Highness Princess Dina Mired expressed her gratitude to Cairo Amman Bank and assured the importance of the participation of the private sector and the banks in the fight against cancer. And her Highness added: “Cairo Amman Bank support to the expanding project for the new building belonging to the center reflects the bank’s deep faith and its awareness of the magnitude of the social responsibility incumbent upon it as one of the leading banks in Jordan. And I wish of all private institutions and banks to support this project which will contribute to the provision of treatment to the greatest possible number of patients”.

And it is mentioned that Cairo Amman Bank is one of the ongoing supporters to King Hussein Cancer Foundation, where the bank supports several programs for the foundation one of which is donations boxes and summer camp program.

It is also worth mentioning that the project for the new building will consist of two new buildings on the land opposite to the center, which are 3 times bigger in size than the center’s existing buildings, thus doubling the capacity of the center to host patients and ensure their comfort with providing the best treatment to them with the latest technology available, in addition to decreasing the numbers of patients on waiting lists, so as no patient is denied the right to get a real chance for cure.
