Hashemite University starts distributing the New Smart Cards to its students

Zarqa – On Sunday Feb. 3rd 2019, Hashemite University in Zarqa Governorate has opened Distribution Center for Smart Cards issued by Cairo Amman Bank in cooperation with Orange Jordan to students, faculty and administrative bodies' members.

 
Launch event of the distribution campaign took place under the auspices of Professor Dr. Kamal El-Deen Bani Hani in the presence of Deputy General Manager of Cairo Amman Bank Mr. Nizar Shawkha, a number of officials at the University and the Bank and Orange Jordan.

Distribution of the university smart cards was carried out in a wide hall which has been allocated for this purpose where all services and systems have been made available to fully serve students.

The hall included reception, signboards and queuing system to facilitate the process of cards' distribution in accordance with the regulatory measures taken in this regard.

Hashemite University signed cooperation agreement with Cairo Amman Bank under which the Bank handles the issuance and activation of smart identity cards of multi purposes to the university's students, faculty and administrative bodies' members.

This identity card which is issued by Cairo Amman Bank and a payment card from MasterCard International provides quality services to its holder, including electronic payment technology, secured online financial transactions, in addition to many features, such as having access to all campus facilities, payment of university tuitions, getting amounts paid for scholarships and having daily wages and salaries paid through recharging cards. As well as the student who is holder of the card gets Yo 7 line from Orange – Jordan at special and competitive prices.

When being outside the campus, card holder can have it used for purchase and cash withdrawal at point of sales and ATMs as a "prepaid" electronic payment card.

There is also possibility of having the card used for online shopping, locally and internationally, the possibility of having it recharged with money through Cairo Amman Bank's branches and enables card holders to benefit from discounts and offers when used within a wide network of commercial shops having contractual relationship with the bank all over the Kingdom.

Cairo Amman Bank has signed similar agreements with Jordanian universities, such as the University of Jordan, Yarmouk University, Princess Sumaya University, University of Science and Technology, Al al-Bayt University, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University and Al Hussein Technical University.
