Current Accounts

  • Beneficiaries:
    • A legally competent Jordanian or non-Jordanian person, and judicial persons.
  • Features:
    • Opening accounts in any currency
    • Withdrawals and deposits are permitted at any time.
    • No receivable interest is credited to the account.
    • A check book may be issued to the account holder.
    • Current account holder is given a Debit Card.
    • All Current Account holders can have multiple accounts.
    • All Current Account holders can benefit from CAB Online Banking service and CAB Mobile banking.
    • All Current Account holders will receive instant SMS messages in their transactions.
    • Free monthly e-statement sent to the account holder’s email address or CAB designated email.


Required documents to open an account:
  • Proof of identity (ID for Jordanians or passport for non-Jordanians)
  • Proof of address (Lease Contract/Property Ownership)
  • Proof of employment (Salary Certificate, Certificate of Registration, Occupational License, Association Membership)

Mazaya Service: It is an expedited help for the client’s legal heirs whose salary is transferred to CAB to participate in emergency expenses for the deceased family, as follows:

  1. Insurance value: JOD 2,000 for each insured person.
  2. Maximum age limit:
    • Life assured: 65 years old when joining.
    • Maturity age: 70 years old.
  3. Waiting period: 3 months after commencing salary transfer.
  4. Claim Payment: Within 48 hours from completing all death-related documents.

How it works:The letter of inheritance from the religious court received by the bank will be admitted and considered as an official death-declaration document of the deceased whose inheritance is to be assessed and processed, and his/her accounts to be declared. Based on that, the bank proceeds with the necessary procedures to close the deceased's accounts, make sure that Mazaya program applies to him/her, and claim the amount from the insurance company. Therefore, the bank must directly contact the deceased's family to obtain the needed documents and inform them of the amount payable. The same shall apply when being notified of the death through a death certificate, inheritance document, or any official document that indicates the case.
This is an optional service provided for the bank's clients. In case the client doesn't wish to subscribe to it, he/she should sign a proper letter declaring that.
